Our Dedication to Quality

A Multi-Faceted Approach to Achieving Excellence

At Components Company, we build quality into our entire production process from material inspection through final delivery. With a dedicated quality department, mature ISO system, and cutting-edge technology, we actively work to meet or exceed customer expectations, every time.

Quality Certifications and Documentation

Chemical Certification & Testing

Verifies that a material meets specific chemical composition standards, often including tests for elements like lead, cadmium, mercury, or specific chemicals depending on the application.

Tensile Certification & Testing

Measures a material’s ability to withstand pulling force before breaking, providing information about its tensile strength.

Hardness Certification & Testing

Determines a material’s resistance to indentation, indicating its hardness level.

Pressure Testing

Determines the seal strength and integrity on hoses and gas caps to ensure tight tolerance.

PPAP Documentation

We offer a robust Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) that include ISIR, Material Certification, Finish Certification, PSW, FMEA, Control Plans, and more!

Regulatory & Statutory Requirements

We carry a wide range of certifications and testing options including REACH, ROHS, PROP65, Conflict Minerals, TSCA, etc.

Our ISO Compliant Quality Management System

Our mature ISO system has been in place continuously since 2000, passing all internal and external audits, and exceeding the latest 2015 standards. This adherence demonstrates our commitment to quality management and has driven exceptional customer satisfaction.

By setting and consistently meeting these quality standards, we seek to demonstrate to our existing and potential customers that we can consistently provide parts and components that meet or exceed their unique specifications. These standardized processes also ensure we catch any issues early, quickly rectify them, and limit any disruption or waste.

Our Quality Department

Our quality department is home to a wide range of advanced technology including:

  • Dimensional inspection tools like advanced Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs) to accurately evaluate parts and components for tolerance and adherence
  • Non-Destructive Testing Equipment to evaluate consistency without causing damage
  • Destructive Testing Equipment to test tensile strength and hardness
  • Calipers, Gauges, Micrometers, and other hand tools for manual inspection

Overseen by our full-time quality technicians and located directly on our production floor, our quality department was designed to ensure adherence and consistency for every project we take on, from start to finish.

Maintaining an Efficient & Effective Production Space

Every member of our team follows the 6S’s to create a clean, organized, and safe working environment that fosters efficiency, eliminates waste, improves quality, and enhances team morale. By adhering to the 6S’s, our offices, data storage, work stations, production lines, machining cells, and inventory warehouse spaces stay clean and organized. Our quarterly 6S audits ensures safety and reinforces our lean manufacturing practices, reducing the risk of accidents and production downtime.

How the 6S’s Work
  • Sort: Remove unnecessary items to reduce clutter and improve efficiency
  • Set in Order: Organize work items so they are easy to find and use
  • Shine: Clean the workspace, including machinery and resources
  • Standardize: Identify best practices and develop policies and work processes
  • Sustain: Transition the 6S program from a one-time practice to a regular part of daily operations
  • Safety: Identify possible hazards and develop methods to eliminate them
